Yes, another blog dedicated to that fermented drink which has been very popular throughout the western world for quite a long time. Unfortunately, it has been associated with an exclusive club of wine snobs making most of the of the world thinking: you can not possibly smell 15 fruits and vegetables, a wet rabbit and squashed Ecuadorian pine nuts.
But no. I am not a wine expert who can, nor wants to, discuss the comparative qualities of a Gevrey Chambertin 1982 to the Margaux 2000. Nor am I a dummy who needs someone to explain to me that bordeaux is not a grape. I am somewhere in between, an area not generally catered for in most books or internet material. Undefined Intermediate wine guy.
The inspiration for sharing these words is as an accompaniment to my own learning. A part of my quest to answer those questions that keep coming up about a subject I really appreciate.
